Sprinkler Update

Good Evening Folks,

The saga of the sprinkler system goes on!!  I know you are getting tired of hearing about it – and I am getting tired of working on it.  Yesterday after I finished some fixes to the pipes and then tried to test the system.  And nothing seemed to work right.  Really frustrating!  I called Greg Bleyer and he came over  at 8:00 in the evening and got everything working in about 20 minutes.  Thank you Greg!!

I set the sprinklers to run very briefly on the plots this evening.  We are forecast for rain this weekend, so there is not likely to be much gardening going on for the next couple of days.

Another thanks goes to Arlyne Anderson who came in this morning and planted the next increment of onions.  And here she is:

The box for the Seed Exchange is now mounted on the east shed wall.  There are two containers in it marked 2014 and 2015.  There is a good supply of 2014 seeds for you to look at.  Please add any 2015 seed you have left over.  I still need to get a stapler in the drawer to seal envelopes.  A couple of photos are attached.

You have made a good response to the call for inputs on Common Ground teams.  I am working on matching people up with the various teams and should have info out to everyone by this week end.

We are going to need some help getting the trenches filled in, but given the forecast, there is no sense in even trying to get help on Saturday.  We will see how much rain we get, how quickly it dries out and then put out a call for help.

Cheers,

Dave
