The seminar on Growing and using herbs has been rescheduled to take place on Monday, June 8, at 6:30. Every Saturday through mid-July had conflicts with other commitments of church facilities or individuals involved. In response to my recent query on when to hold the seminar, several of you suggested that we go to weekday evenings, since weekends during the summer are so packed with events and activities. Unfortunately, no matter what time we choose, there will be conflicts with some peoples schedules.
The seminar will take the place of our regular June Garden Committee meeting as we move to a different format for our gatherings. We will experiment with sharing most information and business for the garden on-line. Our meetings will be fewer and more of an informative and presentation format.
Big Sky Greenhouse and Nursery is sponsoring the June seminar. Gail Tesinsky, a life-long herbalist and representative at Big Sky will be conducting the seminar. She will be demonstrating the planting and care of herbs and talk about their many uses as seasoning in foods and for medicinal purposes. Big Sky Greenhouse and Nursery is donating the herbs and a tower planter for the seminar.
